the day is over . I also get to take so many more photos of couples . My main priority of the day is to capture their love in the most real way and that can be tough when you only have fifteen minutes because a planner is pushing for the introductions to start on time . At smaller weddings , photographers and videographers get so much more time with couples . During a large , more traditional wedding day , the couple is pulled in a million different directions , and they almost never get alone time away from the madness . And that , to me , is so sad . The day is about vowing forever to the love of your life — you deserve time alone !

What are some special moments you ’ ve witnessed at “ micro ” weddings in the past year or so ?

I saw so many amazing things at these intimate ceremonies . Dinner tables at mom ’ s house with chickens in the back yard ; families adventuring from Providence to Jamestown on a party bus ; celebrations on a property that wasn ’ t built on yet ; vows and dances on the amazing cliffs of Beavertail ; and so many more intimate and unique things that I will forever be grateful to have been a part of .
