WHAT’S THE BUZZ AT ESS!

It is hard to believe that we are more
than halfway through the school year!
We have some great literacy activities
taking place here at Enfield Street
School.
On Monday, March 2 nd we celebrated
Read Across America Day. Special
guests from the community came into
our school to read to the students.
We are so grateful that so many
people were able to share their love
of reading with us.
Our literacy initiative, One Book-Three
Schools-One Community will be taking
place again this year. We appreciate
our PTO funding the purchase of the
books for this initiative. Each family
will be given one book to read
together at home. We will begin on
Friday, March 13 th and it will continue
through our April vacation week. On
the kick-off date, the students will
bring home the book along with a
letter and calendar explaining what
we are doing. They will also be
participating in activities related to
the book while at school. Thank you
for being so supportive of this
initiative and we hope that you enjoy
reading the book as a family.
