Please review Home Access Center regularly as it is becoming increasingly important to be aware of grade and attendance issues your student may be facing. It is important to keep in mind that students who exceed ten (10) absences in semester courses, and twenty (20) in a yearlong courses, will lose full course credit. In addition, parents can only excuse 10 absences, after that your student will be marked truant unless they have a medical note. For more information regarding absences from school and how to appeal loss of credit, please refer to the Student Handbook pages 40-45. Our Pro-Start Culinary Competition Club is getting ready for the Pro-Start Culinary Competition in March. Students will compete against Wilbur Cross in New Haven, CT. Students will be judged on knife skills and cooking a three course meal including appetizer, entrée and dessert. It will be our first time going out to compete so either way we're walking away with a great learning opportunity. Also, transitional culinary arts (or culinary arts 2) is designing and executing a catering menu for teachers to order from for a Friday night. They're designing five sections
