April 26 ( Rain date May 3 ) Fee $ 25 – Jim Malley – No Surcharge , No Senior Discount The walking tour begins at Enfield Street School , passes the Old Town Hall , the former site of the Enfield Dairy & Colonel Hazard ’ s mansion . The tour continues past Paul Robeson ’ s former home and enters the Enfield Street Cemetery . We will visit the resting places of Colonel Hazard , Orrin Thompson , Dr . Edwin Vail , and Franklin Sheldon and a few more former Enfield residents . The tour will return to Enfield Street School . ( Tour starts at Enfield Street School – 1318 Enfield St .)
RT 190 ENFIELD / SUFFIELD VETERANS BRIDGE & CANAL WALKING TOUR ( Saturday ) Former Alcorn School – 9:30 a . m . - 12:30 p . m . May 10 ( Rain date May 17 ) Fee $ 25 – Jim Malley No Surcharge , No Senior Discount This walking tour begins at the former Alcorn School and heads down Franklin Street and examines the 1960s construction of Route 190 and the Enfield- Suffield Veterans Bridge . We then walk over the Connecticut River to the northern locks of the canal to the Bridge Lane / Bridge Street Remnants . The tour continues across the river , north on Pearl Street , then turns on New King Street back to the Alcorn School . ( Tour starts at former Alcorn School 1010 Enfield Street )

This walking tour begins at the Elm Street entrance of the Hazardville New Cemetery . Participants will learn about the Hazardville residents and the Hazard Powder Co . Workers buried here . The tour will head east on Hazard Avenue to the Hazardville Old Cemetery , then to the Hazardville Institute , and then cross the street to the Hazardville Hotel . The tour continues west on Hazard Avenue to Cannister Hill , then back to Elm Street . The tour will continue by car to the Collins Creamery for a farm tour and ice cream . ( Tour starts at Elm Street entrance of the Hazardville Cemetery ).
