In this collage of The Square Tower, I wanted
to experiment with the juxtaposition of
different textures and look into haptic
expression. I have used wire here which provides
relief on the surface. I have also ripped up paper
and tissue paper which alter the consistency of
the surface. I also used reflective card to play
with the light and to layer another texture.
With this collage I wanted to express
nature and colour. I started with
experimenting with leaf printing
where this shows the textures and veins of the
leaves. The watercolour textures on the leaf I
think looks good as the colour concentrated
also revealing the veins of the leaves. I also
added two gold leaves painted in acrylic to draw
the eye to the centre.
