MAPPING TASK
We took place in a studio task where
we used models at we made in
groups at scale 1:100 and made a
large map of Southsea and Old Portmouth
to show the connections, transport routes
and compare the size of the buildings.
This helped with the choosing rationale
of my building as I could compare the size
of the buildings. The two buildings I was
interested in for my design were the Sally
Port Hotel and Knight and Lee. I realised I
would need a large space in my design so
dance studios can have ample space for the
dance movements. Drawing the transport
and infrastructure around the buildings also
helped me make an informed decision.
