National Oil hopes to benefit from Hyrax Oil’s over 27 years in
global expertise in product development and necessary
international product specification approvals. .Hyrax Oil in return
will offer training and technical support to support the efforts of
National Oil.
NOC’s Chief Executive Officer MaryJane Mwangi described the
move as a ground breaker for the state corporation as it will ensure
steady supply of quality lubricants in line with the corporations plan
to increase the market share.

and meet our increased demand for
lubricants.

Ministry Of Energy Split
The president H.E Uhuru Kenyatta on 26th January 2018 unveiled a
new cabinet for his second and final term in office. He made
several changes in which he announced the splitting of the Ministry
of Energy and Petroleum into Ministry of Energy and Ministry of
Petroleum & Mining.
He re-appointed Hon. Charles Keter to remain as the Cabinet
Secretary in the Ministry of Energy while appointed Hon. John
Munyes to be the new Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of
Petroleum and Mining. Former Principal Secretary in the State
Department of Petroleum Mr. Andrew Kamau will serve in the new
ministry.
The new appointees will await parliament vetting before assuming
the new offices. National Oil Corporation will now be under the
Ministry of Petroleum and Mining.
