He made several changes in which he announced the splitting of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum into Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Petroleum & Mining. He re-appointed Hon. Charles Keter to remain as the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Energy while appointed Hon. John Munyes to be the new Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining. Former Principal Secretary in the State Department of Petroleum Mr. Andrew Kamau will serve in the new ministry. The new appointees will await parliament vetting before assuming the new offices.
