In Croatia certain forms of professional development exist, such as conferences, courses, seminars and online education. Horizontal professional development as seen in other countries is not well developed. This survey, done with the goal of establishing nurses' attitudes about professional development, shows that a large percentage of nurses has a positive attitude towards professional development. They think that professional development is necessary for the furthering of their profession.
