Made on Hope A program of world premieres created right in your own backyard, Made on Hope is Ballet RI’ s annual celebration of its own artists, presented within the intimate black box theatre. This bold, boundary-pushing evening features all-new works conceived, created and performed by the dancers of Ballet RI. DEC. 11 – 12: The State Ballet of Rhode Island has a long and cherished history of performing Coppélia, a ballet that has been part of its repertoire since its Rhode Island debut in 1962 by the Marsden family. This classic ballet— with its enchanting story of love, humor and magic— has allowed generations of dancers and viewers to connect with the timeless antics of a toy maker and the beauty of his lifelike doll.
