Miracles do exist....the story of David Rain
David Rain's blood line continues. His Grandfather, EP Rodriquez performed and recorded trumpet and trombone with the greatest of Tejano Orquestas including: Little Joe & The Latineers, Johnny Hernandez, Tortilla Factory, Sunny Ozuna, El Charro Negro Bobby Butler, Joe Revelez, Carlos Miranda, Alfonzo Ramos, Algo Simple, and the list goes on. EP was one of the founding members of JR Perales Y Su Orquesta (The Perales Bros., along side with Little Joe Hernandez, were the founders of what today is considered Tejano Orquesta. EP married Amelia Perales and had 3 children- Jerry, Martin and David Lee) So from David Rain's father's side comes a very thick and proud line of Tejano history. David Rain's great uncles, Jr and Cruz Perales along with his grandfather EP, helped set the foundation of Tejano Music.
David Rain's mother's father Camilo Espinoza was a country music singer/songwriter/guitarist who was one of the first Hispanic singers to be invited to perform on The Louisiana Hayride Show. He also performed with many Country Music Legends such as Gene Autry, Bob Wills, Marlon Brando, and the Lennon Sisters.
David Rain wishes to continue performing with Gonzalo and hopes to someday have a band of his own and continue his family bloodline of Tejano Music.
She also toured and sang along side Country Legend Michael Martin Murphey on his Cowboy Christmas Tour where she performed with Country music greats such as Pat Flynn (from New Grass Revival) David E. Coe, Ryan Murphey, Gary Roller, and Troy Engle.
