Another issue facing our women is far too many of them are going missing. We need to come together as a community to raise awareness, to create a protective barrier for those who are unable to care for themselves. To be a sister to all of our sisters.

We also must begin to be the voice that screams out for all of those caught up in trafficking. Ages range from young girls to older women. It is crucial that we educate ourselves so as not to get caught up and become another statistic. That we keep an eye out for one another and heed the warning signs. Don't let an overlooked chance be a missed opportunity.

One of the most prolific problems facing our women is domestic violence. We need to keep a vigilant watch on the goings on of our communities. We must be the eyes and ears for those who have no voice for fear of being struck down. It's a vicious cycle that we must learn how to break so we can build a stronger community of women.

So, I implore you to be a voice not only for the native community, but for your community as well. If we all come together as the strong women that we were made to be, then we can all begin to make a change for the better.
