Issues Native American women
face in today's world.
Real talk with Yolanda Clairmont
Native American women face many different adversities which often go unnoticed and oftentimes overlooked. I am writing this article so as to raise awareness and bring a light to that which has for so long been shrouded in darkness. Some of the most critical issues facing native women today are murder, going missing, human/sex trafficking and domestic violence. I am hoping to be a light for many of those who aren't able to shine for themselves.
The murder rate is increasing with such ferocity that many of the cases go unsolved, becoming just another statistic. With little to no help in catching the suspects, they oftentimes end up being just another cold case on the shelf gathering dust never to be looked at again. We need to stand up for those who have been silenced. To be a light in the darkness to let them know that they did not die in vain.
