feeling of feminine unity, respect, and love. The energy in the room was pure, and we were eager
to receive the blessings in the message from our host and speakers.
As the guest speaker shared her story, we enjoyed a four course tapas style meal with 4 accompa-
nying wines for each course. The guest speaker talked about how we as women put our family and
responsibilities first and that we can lose ourselves in the process. She gave the example we’ve all
heard as passengers on an airplane that when your air mask drops you are instructed to first put
on your mask and then help others. Essentially, you are to save yourself first in order to be able to
save others. Her message was that we need to take time for balance and to take care of ourselves,
our spirit, and find our inner purpose in order to be fully charged and function at our best for
ourselves and our families. The message was clear and sometimes we all need reminders. And
sometimes we need a community of like minded spirits and a room full of strangers that quickly
become soul sisters to find our balance, and to recalibrate our thinking. It’s so easy to be con-
sumed by the daily hustle and bustle, to be drained by the daily news, or from circumstances that
surround or influence us; but that’s no excuse for not taking the reins and making a commitment
to ourselves to recharge, regroup, to feed our spirits and truly take care and love ourselves.
I invite you to step out of your comfort zone. I challenge you to give back to yourself in a way that
you will walk away feeling refreshed, blessed, and inspired. If you have tunnel vision and are well
on your way to enhancing and living your purpose...please come, this is for you! If you are bro-
ken, lost, alone, and overwhelmed...please come, this is for you! The event host Jordan Candelaria
has put much thought and care in chosing the speakers, the theme, ,the message, and the venue.
