Fitness draw phase seemed to become more and more distant and I started to slowly feel something happy . I started to see light during the day and it is a feeling I can ’ t even begin to describe . Just trust me when I say I was feeling something wonderful . Not 100 percent back to myself , but definitely a need to explore and find something to keep me content , occupied , and in replace of my medication . I knew this happy moment would be short lived if I didn ’ t . In June of 2015 .... after having been off my meds for about 2 months .... I went for a run . It was so hard during , and made me very sick immediately after . But ... after about an hour , I swear I felt like a different person . So much in fact that I wanted to do it again tomorrow . And I did . And to this day I have not looked back . I feel exercising in any form : novice , moderate , intense , releases important chemicals into the brain that are produced within the body after doing so . Nothing synthetic , or man made about it . It ’ s all made within your own body that gets released after an exercise . It can last a few hours each time , and with doing it consistently will remain in the body day in , day out . You really do become a “ new , better , healthier ” version of “ you ”. It eventually becomes habit once you start , and force yourself through it . This is truly what changed my life . In 2 years , exercising has done more for me than the whole 20 plus years of being on medication EVER has . This is my story . I won ’ t knock anyone taking medications if they are helping . I ’ m simply sharing my experiences of what medications can or may do when taking for so , so long . I ’ m reaching out to anyone who is suffering from depression and is currently taking prescription medications to get a handle on it . If you feel the medications are no longer serving a purpose and need to find another way .... I can help . Let ’ s try this together and see if we can ’ t bring out the you that wants so desperately to come out . If anyone needs any type of mentorship , advice , or information , please shoot the magazine a message or message me directly . I will sit with you and help in any way I possibly can . There is hope , there are answers . No , it won ’ t be easy , but it IS possible . And honestly it is worth any hardship you may be experiencing now trying to balance life and medication . Pick your struggles wisely . Pick your struggles with purpose . Pick your struggles knowing you WILL again feel like yourself if you truly believe and want it . Thank you for your time . Light and Love , Beverly
