Day 2
Our host showed us around the back roads that
we would have never found being tourists. A trip
through the Sangre De Cristo mountains left us
speechless as we enjoyed spectacular views.
Monument Lake Resort looks like a destination
that I will book for the next visit! The view of the
lake plus the choice between a 22-room lodge
hotel or adobe-style cabins! You can’t go wrong
either way.
Finally, we ended our trip by checking out the
Ludlow Massacre Memorial site photograph-
ing the abandoned buildings along the railroad
tracks.
It’s hard to believe that this gem is hidden away
just a few short hours from home. We can’t wait
for our next trip!
