Harpooning
Harpooning is a traditional method of fishing still used today. It involves an aluminum or wooden harpoon that is thrusted or shot into the animal and later haulted aboard. Typically, harpooners will catche larger predators such as bluefin tuna, swordfish, dolphins, and whales. Out of the other fishing methods available, this method is environmentally responsible since bycatch does not become an issue-fishermen visually indentify the species and size of the fish prior to hunting it.
