“Rise & Grind ”
MADE BY ASHLEY WHITE
D
aymond John’s
latest book, Rise And
Grind, is jam-packed
with lessons on how to
out-perform, out-work
and out-hustle your way
to a more successful
and rewarding life. In
this blueprint, Daymond
spoke to various industry
leaders including Gary
Vaynerchuk, Wendy
Williams, Carlos Santana,
Catherine Zeta Jones and
many more to receive
insight on how they rise
and grind and the traits
that have set them apart
from the rest. Here are
a few of the takeaways
from this insightful book…
01.
WAKE UP WITH A SPIRIT OF
GRATITUDE If you start your day grateful for
everything you have, you’re already off to a great
start. When you’re so focused on what’s next,
it’s easy to forget the things you’ve already been
blessed with. I once read that a grateful heart
is a magnet for miracles and I believe that to be
true. It has also been reported by the University
of Massachusetts Dartmouth that those who are
grateful feel better about their lives as a whole
and have higher levels of alertness, enthusiasm,
determination energy and sleep duration and
quality.
TAKE INVENTORY. Take time
to analyze who you are, how
you manage your business,
relationships, time and
commitments. Be honest with
yourself. Recognize the patterns
that are helping or hindering you and make
adjustments as necessary.
02.
FAIL EARLY. While on the
grind, failure is almost inevitable.
We’re bound to make mistakes
which become lessons for us as
we move forward. Daymond John
mentions the importance of failing
early because it’s easier to recover from
a setback when you’re younger, single, have no
kids and no mortgage.
