LOVE WHAT
YOU DO.
This saying is repeated
quite a bit, but it really
does matter. I remember
the times I tried to step
away from what I love
(writing) to pursue an
opportunity to make
more money and the
result was always the
same—I was miserable.
There’s nothing like
waking up every day
and doing what moves
you and makes you
happy. It not only gives
you joy, but it’s what
keeps you going when
times get tough.

REMEMBER THAT “NO”
SOMETIMES MEANS
“NOT YET.”
We all have major goals and
dreams, but what keeps us on
our toes throughout the journey
to success is the fact that some
opportunities don’t always c ome
when we think they should—and
that’s not always a bad thing.
When we’re told no, it oftentimes
sends us back to the drawing board
and we find another way to get
what we want want or we acquire
the skills or knowledge necessary
to make it happen. When we
eventually get the “yes” we were
looking for, we realize that timing
really is everything.
ALWAYS MAKE TIME FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
As millennial creatives, all we know is grind. We wake up thinking about
what needs to be accomplished and we go to bed making a mental note
of what we need to tackle the next day. While it’s important to put in the
work to meet our goals, we can’t be so consumed with the grind that we
forget to spend time with those who matter the most.
