Before getting to that crucial interview, many employers use psychometric testing as a means to identify their ideal candidates' suitability. This hands-on session will provide tips for completing numeric and verbal reasoning tests as well as personality assess ments and gives you a chance for practice. Student Media Centre Open Afternoon YABILITY PO LO TS IN (All students) Improve your Excel skills and find out how to use it for business analysis. Excel is a crucial tool which is in high demand by today's employers. This is a short standalone course designed to refresh students’ knowledge of the fundamentals of Excel and how to further use it as an analytical business tool. The afternoon will start with tours of the media centre by our media (All students) This training session will cover the essentials on successful campaigns, focusing on how to plan, organise, deliver and analyse your campaign to ensure you make the best impact. We’ll be looking into the best ways you can deliver your message to the public, from running events and public speaking, to using art and social media as a campaign tool. Running a Successful Campaign TS IN (All Students) Louise Murray, Product Delivery Officer – Language Assistants Team at the British Council in Northern Ireland will give an overview of the opportunities available for both undergraduates and graduates offered by the British Council. From China, to Latin America and elsewhere in Europe, the session will provide a taster of possible options for the future. (All students) A brief presentation outlining the skills looked for during group exercises at graduate assessment days. This will be followed by practical exercises giving students the chance to practise assessed group work, and a plenary session. This is followed by a Q&A panel at 3pm, made up of people from film, TV, radio and newspaper who are all alumni from the University. A great opportunity for anyone looking for a career in the media, or if you just fancy hearing some alumni stories.
