KPO Highlights India claimed some 65% of the global KPO market in FY 2012 and this share is expected to remain around 60% in the coming years, in spite of the fierce competition from Latin American, Eastern European and Asia Pacific countries. The Indian KPO market is likely to grow by a lower annual rate of some 20% compared to the global KPO industry, expected to grow by some 24% annually. Importance LPO The market size of the Indian LPO industry, which emerged in the early 2000s, totaled USD 360mn in 2010 and is forecast at USD 956mn in 2014. In 2011, an Indian consultancy predicted USD 1.1bn in LPO revenue by 2014. Early on, only back-end processing was outsourced to India but in recent years domestic vendors have succeeded in securing high-end work such as intellectual property processes, legal research and document analysis. Currently the Indian LPO sector employs some 50,000 people, according to the co-CEO of Indian LPO vendor Pangea3. Analytics, Animation With a share of some 70% of the global market, India is the world's largest vendor of outsourced data analytics. The data analytics market in the country is expected to grow 67% to USD 1.15bn in 2015 from USD 375mn in 2010. The Animation and Gaming market in India also generates the majority of its revenue from outsourcing services.
