The Gala of Election of the Queen is one of the celebrations with more editions in the Carnival , where the woman who will be titled as the Queen of the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is chosen , being representative of this one until the edition of the next year . Their bright and complex costumes are a visual spectacle .
The great parade is the biggest carnival event . In 2017 , more than a hundred floats accompanied the Queen and her four bridesmaids , of course the Drag Queen , Drag Sethlas , the rhythm of the music of the batucadas and the steps that marks the comparsas and the murgas . All the people puts on costumes for this event . This year the topic was “ the Everlasting Spring ”.
The burial of the sardine puts an end to the Carnival . The sardine expires and the Carnival too . In Las Canteras beach it is burnt and there is a fireworks show . We have lots of fun and we are lready thinking about our next year costume !!!
