NICE PLACES IN GRAN CANARIA
Agaete is located in the northwest of Gran Canaria, 30 kms away from Las Palmas, the capital of the island. It borders with the municipalities of Galdar and Artenara. Agaete stands out because of its charming old town where the influence of the traditional architecture from the nineteenth century can be observed.
The most outstanding landmarks are the Concepción Church and the chapels of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves and of San Sebastián. The Rama Museum is also nice to visit. El Roque Partido, better known as el Dedo de Dios( God’ s Finger), is an astonishing rocky formation in the middle of the sea. Another remarkable formation are the natural pools.
