In life everything is good for something. Things that won ' t kill you will make you stronger.
15. What is your daily routine?
Every day I go to work at 7 am. I go through mail in the morning. I have a lot of meetings through all day. I sign a lot of documents, many travelling orders as you do in every job. Sometimes I have a meeting already at 8. I work in different working teams. At work I’ m to 8 p. m. I’ m working on the town problems with officials. The town council lasts long too.
Nice and pleasant are the cultural events or ceremonial ones but sometimes it is too much, especially in December. Or we give Maturita certificates to students at official ceremonies. It is not work like work but it takes time.
Look at my table. It is not empty and clean. I still have work to do ahead of me. Last autumn I started with the tradition of open-door day to let people see and speak to me. Many, mainly retired people, came with problems. Before that they had been afraid to come to me.
16. Do you have time to be a mother?
I have an adult daughter and a grand-daughter. I can’ t imagine how someone does that with children, I wouldn’ t do that probably. My husband is tolerant and it is about compromises. I cook late at night.
16. What were you discussing at the town council today?
We were discussing requests of citizens connected to properties or plot of lands, funding organization and their projects, some stuff for the Děčín Castle, town orders, a new bell. It is a mix of many things.
Today we were also speaking of an exchange of windows in one of the town’ s block of flats, for example.
17. Is there something you want to change in your decision?
I say that there aren’ t any bad decisions. All decisions are good in some ways. I don’ t regret any decisions. I had prepared always before I decided things. I am not aware of skimping at something. I learn from my experience, get the lesson, and I require having enough information before making decisions. One cannot think he can do everything on his own. Do not cry for the past things, go ahead. I have no regrets and I can admit making a mistake. Don’ t be afraid to support your opinions with arguments.
