BUTTERFLY VALLEY: The valley is situated at the foothill of Babadağ. It ' s surrounded by steap rocky walls that reach 350 meters. The waterfall in Faralya reaches the Mediterranean Sea from the middle of the valley. The valley is rich in flora and fauna; it takes its name from the large number of butterfly species found here. Scientists recorded some 147 flora species belonging to 54 families native to the valley. The butterfly species include the Jersey tiger( Latin name for this butterfly: Euplagia quadripunctaria rhodosensis).
Between June and September the valley becomes colorful. The valley is important for Turkey ecotourism. In here such as camping, hiking, canyoning, canoeing and scuba diving can be performed. The valley is open to public the entire year. About 200 visitors are camping in July and August.
