CANARIAN MUSEUM

This museum was opened in 1879 and there archeological materials are shown and studied; there is also a library specialized in Canary topics. The main purpose of this museum is to promote the development of the education in the Canary Islands( science, arts …).
At first, the museum only had two collections, but lately the number of things that are shown started improving by archeological discoveries and because people donated some fossils. Few years later, they started focusing just on archeological stuff from Canary Islands, and nowadays it is the most skilled museum of the Canary Islands. The museum is located in Vegueta.
