ELDER MUSEUM
The Elder Museum of Science and Technology is a fantastic museum situated in Santa Catalina park, in Las Palmas. This museum is more than an exposition centre; it is an alternative center where you can touch, handle, discover and learn about science and technology! The museum has four floors:
The first floor is dedicated to technology and you can do amazing things like driving a powerful combat fighter and know how an airplane is inside.
The second floor is focused on Physics, Mathematics and Biology and there are many experimental activities for children and adults. Also, there is a 3D cinema where you can see documentaries in Spanish or in English!
On the third floor, you can find temporal expositions and on the fourth floor you can have a look to history and see different tools created by men and women!
CHRISTOPHER COLOMBUS’ HOUSE
Christopher Colombus’ House is situated in the historic neighbourhood of Vegueta. This public center is one of the most important and emblematic buildings of the city. This palace was the residence of the first governors of the island and it is said that Columbus stayed here in 1492 while one of his ships was being repaired, hence the name. Its scope focuses on the study, investigation and diffusion of the history of the Canary Islands and its relations with America. The Museum consists of two large courtyards and a total of thirteen permanent exhibition halls. They emphasize in them the coffered ceilings, the arches and the columns. The courtyard, which has a Gothic borehole, acquires greater importance for its valuable Renaissance arcade from the convent of Santo Domingo, destroyed by the attacks of the Dutch corsair

ATLANTIC CENTER OF MODERN ART
This museum was opened on the 4th of December in 1989 with the purpose of invigorating the visual art and improving people ´ s artistic culture. It is also located in Vegueta. The building has inside a typical Canary yard like the one in the Colombus ´ house.
This museum has got a lot of rooms that are full of art, but it also has got a library about artist of all times, and sometimes some of the artists that wrote those books are there to talk to their fans or for workshops. You can buy some things that are designed by very talented people but they are sooo expensive!!!.
