Buxs banter I felt we defended well at times under pressure, but the early injury to Blakey in the first half was a loss to our fire power. James is in a plaster cast at present for six days and my gut feeling is he will be out for some time – so I’m now working on plan B, forward wise. Jesse Howe’s sending off in the second half did’nt help and the lad has to learn very quickly to keep his thoughts to himself in future!!!!!! The return of Liam Pike and Steve Harris for tonight’s game will allow me to possibly push Tappy upfront. Tonight’s visitors Tavistock also lost their opening fixture to Exmouth Town, despite scoring first. Exmouth added two very late goals for a 1-4 victory, so I’m not going to read too much into that result. On a final note I’m sure our sideways move to the SWP League will, in the long run, be a wise move, with good crowds here and visiting supporters spending money in the clubhouse. Enjoy Buxs (Peter Buckingham) .............................................. CLUB TRUSTEES: Alan Cockram, Peter Buckingham, Phil Howe & Pete Garnsworthy. 33
