E.L.I.O.T. - ENHANCING LITERACY BASIC SKILLS AND FIGHTING DROPOUT WITH CROSS-CURRICULAR THEATRICAL EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ID Number: 2016-1-IT02-KA219-024165 Assessment Remarks 1 st hour: A list of the key-words for the basic terms and definitions is given to the students and is expected to be answered. Also the students prepare a Geogebra file with the graph of a formula from physics or math referring to analogous amounts. .2 nd hour: Task: Sketch a human body following The Phi’s law (Golden section’s proportions on human body) 7 th hour: The students working in groups “create” new characters and give them new problems which need proportions to be solved (from the area of physics, chemistry, math…) . The question is if they have created a problem with the accepted solution based on proportionality. 8 th hour: Students in groups prepare a rap song on Proportions. The question is if they have used all the key words they ought to. In our school there is a theatrical group every year, so our students are familiar to playing- some of them – or attending school theatrical plays. Despite that, they are not used at all to use theatrical methods in the classroom for educational purposes. So it is really a challenge to involve all the students of a classroom to this procedure.
