4 th lesson Subject: Why are Mediterranean Countries a paradise for tourists?
Pupils:
• are able to identify European countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea on the map; identify different types of coastline and elements of the route " Paradise j journey "- with the use of geographic coordinates, altitude of the Sun, the Polar Star, the map scale
• can identify and determine the position of the Mediterranean;
• characterize the features of the Mediterranean; Activities: First, students determine the position of the Mediterranean with the use of the physical map of the world( hemisphere, continents), find countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea. Then there is a division of students into 4 groups. Each group draws one of the 4 parts of route " Paradise travel ", and performs tasks in the work card, then checks the proper execution. After completing the task, students check the entire itinerary together and show the route on the wall map. In the second part students are in a travel agency and discuss the country to choose for a holiday.
