The DIE required 8 hour class: 1st hour lesson: brainstorming on students’ knowledge about the Mediterranean Sea (subdivision in minor seas, countries surrounding the Sea and their capitals). Teachers guide students through questions and suggestions to increase their knowledge. 2nd hour lesson: division into 5 students groups. Each group has drawn a mental map of the Mediterranean without any visual help. A cross-sectional group intends to write a Rap song about the Mediterranean area. Teachers guide the groups work by giving suggestions and answering questions. Steps 3rd hour lesson: The teacher gives audio-visual inputs to help students identify why tourists visit the Mediterranean countries. Tools: Internet connection, interactive whiteboard. 4th hour lesson: Each group has chosen a Mediterranean country and has researched its traditions, customs and folk events ‘to advertise’ it to potential tourists through acting. Tools: smartphones, Internet connection and interactive whiteboard. Teachers guide students and give advices about nations online research. 5th hour lesson: research and proposals about individual dramatization.
