E = Empowerment
To make things worse, those factors may lead them to fall victim to human trafficking. According to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, 74 percent of child trafficking cases involved sexual trafficking. A staggering 85 percent of those cases involve young girls and women. The Glass Slipper believes that the best way to stop any kind of human trafficking is to never let it start.
Guzman believes they can do this by creating an environment to “empower and equip at-risk girls for life.” This is evidenced by the Glass Slipper programs such as the IMAGE BootCamp. The BootCamp is a 5-week training program focused on internal strength and character building that guides girls through a process of self-discovery,
