2 . Get listed ! Start your SEO off with listing yourself in your major industry and local directories . Make sure they are legit directories that your target market actually use . There are a lot of dodgy ones out there that will actually work against you for SEO , so if in doubt – don ’ t join . Some of our faves for electricians are

3 . Social Media and Reviews : Make sure you sign up for company pages / accounts with
Facebook ,
LinkedIn and
Twitter . Even if you do not intend to be proactive with your socials , you will want an account to keep track of what others are saying about your business . If nothing else – make sure you are listening .
4 . Reviews : Ask every happy client for a review and provide them a link to leave one .
