Fresher’s talk
-Divyark Nallabilli,EEE,B.Tech(I/IV) The most memorable day of any student in his or her first year in this college would be Fresher’s Day. Our Fresher’s Day celebrations began with a few inspiring words from the Director, Deans, President, CRs and even the General Secretaries of various clubs. They informed us about the various opportunities that we have in this college for maximizing our experience here. They even spoke about the various measures they have taken against ragging. These valuable words were followed by the performance of the Music Club. The club had a hunt for singers and instrumentalists among the first year itself and prepared them for performing on that day. I was one of those fortunate people who got to sing on stage on Fresher’s Day. Before my turn on stage, I was very nervous. But the seniors in the club helped me to calm down and finally I gave a decent performance. They were approximately 10-12 performances from the Music Club of which each and every one was special for a different reason. After Music Club, it was time for the Dance and Dramatics Club to set the stage on fire. This club also searched for talent in the first years and helped them in giving their best onstage. All participants were made to perform solo and there was an onspot competition declared for Mr. and Ms. DND. The audience went wild looking at the freshers on stage. The entire celebration ended with the announcement of the results. On that day, I could finally overcome my stage fear which makes that day unforgettable for me.
