Bill Blair
March 9th, 1927 - December 11th, 2017
Bill Blair was born in raised in Ogden, Utah. He was a graduate of the University of Utah and received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Bill was very involved with his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bill was married to Evelyn Blair and together they had four children.
Bill spent his career life in Industrial Relations negotiating labor contracts for Kraft Foods.
In March of 2009, Bill joined the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office as a STAR Volunteer. Bill routinely worked Patrol, conducted Neighborhood Watch Meetings and worked in the El Dorado Hills Substation since its opening in June of 2011.
In his free time, Bill was active in the scouting community, where he held positions as Scout Master and Scout Commissioner. He also regularly volunteered with the El Dorado Food Bank, Grand Jury, and many other kinds of community service.
Bill truly had a servant's heart and it was evident in all of the different ways he contributed to his community over the span of his life.
He was a great asset to the STAR program, to the Sheriff's Office and to this county. He will be greatly missed.
