Student can be placed on academic or progress probation if they earn less than a 2.0 GPA after attempting 12 or more units. “The changes are good, because it pushes students to get a higher GPA,” liberal arts major Brisa Garcia said. Besides priority registration, students can also lose eligibility and be placed on academic or progress probation. “I do think these changes will be effective, because student’s academic performance will matter in order to be eligible,” Financial Aid technician Chi Pham said.
