DOWNTOWN FILMS
FOUNDATION GIVEAWAY
EXTENDED DEADLINE
Downtown Santa Ana’s
Frida Cinema is showing
Cinema Paradiso Dec. 12.
The Italian language comedy/drama was released in
1988 and won the Academy
Award for Best Foreign Film
in 1990.
The film portrays 30 years
of Salvatore Di Vita’s life after
WWII in a Sicilian village, and
how as child he frequented
the Cinema Paradiso, where
he befriended projectionist
Alfredo and spent time with
his forbidden love, Elena.
Showtime is 7:30 p.m. at
304 E. 4th St.
Parents with disabled or special-needs children can bring
their kids to an event hosted by
a nonprofit foundation where
free toys will be handed out.
The Autistic Kids Foundation,
who partnered with the U.S.
Army to give out about 1,000
toys, is hosting the event.
“We really want to focus
on the kids,” said President
and CEO of the Autistic Kids
Foundation Lazaro Gomez. “In
the future we look to make it
an even bigger event.”
The event is Dec. 19 in the
New Covenant Church of
Orange County’s parking lot
on Bristol and Fifth streets at
2 p.m.

Students of the Rancho
Santiago Community College
District now have school email
addresses that provide them
free access to Microsoft Cloud
365 Products.
The new service for students was requested by
RSCCD’s Technology Advisory
Group and created by the
Informational Services department. It is one of many technological upgrades requested
by the TAG group to both
the Santa Ana College and
Santiago Canyon College campuses this year.
New student email accounts
can be linked with RSCCD
Webadvisor and Blackboard
login information through a
website created by TAG.
Students can use their emails
to access Microsoft products at
login.microsoftonline.com.
