DUAL ENROLLMENT
HOMELESS RALLY
TREASURES OF EGYPT
High school students can
now concurrently enroll in
community college after
Governor Jerry Brown signed
AB 288.
“Expanding dual enrollment
is critical because it increases
opportunities for the students to pursue certificates
and degrees or transfer to
four-year institutions,” Board
of Governors President
Geoffrey L. Baum said.
The goal is to transition
students smoothly and fasttrack them through college.

A rally supporting the construction of a 24-hour homeless shelter in Anaheim will be
held Tuesday at the Orange
County Hall of Administration
in Santa Ana.
Tim Houchen, a former homeless man who attended Santa
Ana College, is the organizer of
the event.
“We are fighting for the basic
human necessities. It is of
importance to speak for those
who cannot speak for themselves,” Houchen said.
The 1.87-acre warehouse on
Kraemer Place will cost the
county $4.2 million.
The rally is at 9 a.m. Tuesday
at the Santa Ana Civic Center in
Building 10.

garments and textiles, and is
used in products ranging from
pills to lipsticks.
The travelling exhibition is
organized by the Museum of
International Folk Art in
Santa Fe, N.M.
It is open until Feb. 21 and is
