For most high school students Mr.
Shae, the new Drama teacher, may
be a complete stranger. You may
know him as “the guy who long-
boards in the hallways”, but that is
only scraping the surface of Mr.
Shae.Below are a few interesting
facts on his exploits before arriving
to Monterey, ranging from the arts
to foreign escapades.
1. Is a trained opera singer
2. Used to make jingles for the radio
3. Ran a 10km race in order to get a permit to visit
North Korea
4. Is the mysterious voice in the PA
5. Corrected the state of Maryland and nullified an
entire state’s exam because of their incorrect
analysis of a poem (My Poppa’s Waltz, Theo
dore Rethky)
6. Has visited all seven continents, including Ant-
arctica
7. Travelled to more than 80 different countries
