and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you.
Never again will my people be disgraced. Then you will know that I am among my people Israel, that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other.
Never again will my people be disgraced.
Joel 2:25-27, NLT
“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams,
and your young men will see visions. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike. And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark,
and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives. But everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the Lord has said. These will be among the survivors whom the Lord has called.
Joel 2:28-32, NLT
Your restoration may be a process and may take time. Though it may be hard to believe, your brokenness is the best thing that could happen you. It happened for a reason. God knew it was going to happen. It was a set-up. He uses these times in our lives for His glory and our maturity in faith in Him. In the dark times of our lives only God shows up with the answers and the best plan for you if you are repentant. We can go around and around in our own fleshly desires but nothing in this world can heal you and make you happy like God can.
The Lord is calling you home to His bosom. He is calling you back to where you have fallen. Decide now in your brokenness the dissolution of discouragement, anger, lost, pain, and re-light the revelation of His love, forgiveness and hope for your continued future in Him. Your family, those whom you are in authority over will reap the benefits of your restoration.
Practicals:
1) Do you sense a difference in your relationship with the Lord? Is your relationship with Him growing?
2) How often do you recognize and confess your sin to Him?
3) Don't stay down, get back up! Yield to His Spirit. In what ways can you make change(s) in your life?
4) He is the Great Shepherd, don't worry about the past. The past does not define your present or future. How much are you willing to go deeper in your faith?
