Sophomore Meetings: We are currently sending
green passes to all sophomores through their first
period teacher. These passes are for students to
attend their yearly career counseling appointment.
Appointment times are assigned alphabetically.
Criminal Justice and Forensics Panel Discussion:
On March 20 th five various professionals from these
fields joined us in the auditorium to discuss their
careers with students.
ACC College Connections Tour: On March 21 st
students had the opportunity to visit Asnuntuck’s
Machining and Welding program. This program is
a great opportunity for high school juniors and
seniors to begin their college and trade training
program while they are still in high school.
ShopRite Award
On January 30 th we recognized our December
ShopRite Kindness Award Recipients - Freddie
Centrella and Jamie Galovich.
On February 21 st we recognized our January
ShopRite Kindness Award Recipients – Kyle
Menaker and Cassie Urso.
CT Science Center: Junior Achievement hosted 30
students at the CT Science Center on March 26 th to
provide students with the opportunity to meet
professionals from the STEM career fields.
Second Grade Mentoring: On March 29 th students
completed their third mentoring lesson of the year.
The last mentoring session will be May 3 rd .
Women in Business Trip: Junior Achievement is
partnering with Catlin at AXA XL to offer an
inspiring career program for young women
considering a career in business.
360 Federal Credit Union Reality Fair at CCSU:
This event provides 25 students with the
opportunity to test a real-life budget with the salary
and career of their choice.
UConn Animal Science Trip: On April 15 th the
Animal Science program at UConn will provide
EHS students with a tour and information session.
This trip is for students interested in veterinary,
agriculture, farm management, horticulture, and
equine science careers.
