Recent Events
Junior Meetings: At this point all Juniors have been
provided a green pass to attend their career
counseling meeting. Any juniors that may have
missed their pass may stop by the career center for a
new pass.
UHart’s Barney School of Business Trip: On
February 14 th seventeen students attended a Junior
Achievement program hosted by Barney school of
business. Students learned about business through the
lens of risk management and insurance. We also
received a great tour of UHart!

Springfield Technology Community College
Cosmetology Program: On February 26th 20
students attended the visit to STCC’s Cosmetology
program. We learned about the program and toured
the campus.

Rein’s Deli: On March 6 the general manager of
Rein’s Deli, Russell Debella, hosted 12 EHS students
to learn about how to successfully run a culinary
business.

Computer Science and IT Panel Discussion: On
March 11 th we hosted Chris Norwood (The Hartford)
and AJ Frere (Pratt and Whitney) to discuss their
career paths in Computer Science and IT with 27
students.

Kaman’s Art Shoppes (Caricatures,
airbrushing, antique photos at Six
Flags) – March 11th
YMCA Career Day: Junior Achievement and the
Indian Valley YMCA partnered to offer a fantastic
career exploration program for 18 EHS students.
There were 16 various successful professionals willing
to share their career experiences with the students.
