The Cholera disease or commonly known as the “King Cholera” was a disease in contaminated waters. The main problem in Britain during the Industrial Revolution was that the sewage was being connected to drinking water causing in contamination and in contact with people. Many people used the river’s water as their resource allowing this disease to spread rapidly. This health issue was unexpected and very painful, yet no that fatal. The people who lived in the more poor areas of Britain were the most affected by this problem, although the rich did not evade this illness. The Cholera disease in contaminated water let rough bacteria get into the human body. The doctors at the time were not aware of the disease until many people died because of it.

Diseases faced during the Industrial Revolution

During the Industrial Revolution many diseases arose in the more urban cities, causing many health problems and leading to deaths. It was estimated that around 15,000 thousand people caught different diseases, such as Cholera, Typhoid and many others. There was little to none knowledge about hygiene or sanitary care and letting people get “cured alone or by themselves”. This major problem became a threat towards Britain in a way that population was increasing and diseases were enlarging as well resulting in scarce resources.
