The new course handicap formula now includes a COURSE RATING MINUS PAR adjustment. See sample chart below. USGA Course Handicap Course Rating/Slope/Par 10 Red (65.5/114) - 72 4 12 Classic (67.2/130) - 72 7 12 White (70.0/133) - 72 10 12 Blue (72.6/137) - 72 13 12 Black (73.7/137) - 72 14 WHS Course Handicap • This adjustment gets each player to the same starting point of par, for the teeing being played. • A golfers target score for the day, will now be PAR of the tee plus their course handicap. • The further away from par that the course rating of the tee being played is, the more movement a golfer will see in their course handicap under the WHS. How do I apply the Net Double Bogey Adjustment? • This concept replaces Equitable Stroke Control and will be used by all golfers regardless of their Course Handicap. • To apply properly, simply take the par of the hole, plus two strokes for double bogey, plus any handicap strokes the golfer is entitled to.
