New SCHOLARSHIPS CREATED

GLOVER ORNDORF & FLANAGAN WEALTH MANAGEMENT
Mr . and Mrs . Glover have donated $ 50,000 to the EFSC Foundation . The funds were used to create the Glover Family Endowed Scholarship for Brevard County residents seeking to earn a bachelor ’ s degree . Part of the funding was also used to create housing scholarships to students in EFSC dorms on the Melbourne Campus .
NVHS GEORGE TAYLOR SR . ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP
The National Veterans Homeless Support Organization has created a $ 25,000 endowment to honor George Taylor Sr . The scholarship will benefit students that are veterans and / or a spouse of a veteran enrolled in specific AS Degree or Certificate Programs that have volunteered in the community .

SPACE COAST HEALTH FOUNDATION
PICKETT GRANT
The Foundation and Dental Nursing Program were awarded a grant in the amount of $ 15,000 to fund preventative dental care for elderly patients in Brevard County , including cleanings , fluoride treatments , x-rays and sealants . The project will involve collaboration with local community organizations that serve these populations .
LT . COL . JOHN H . JOHNSON APOLLO 1 MEMORIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Apollo 1 Memorial Foundation has created a $ 25,000 endowment in honor of Lt Col . John H . Johnson to commemorate astronauts Virgil Ivan “ Gus ” Grissom , Edward White II , and Roger Bruce Chaffee , the intrepid crew of Apollo 1 . It will assist students who are pursuing a degree in Aerospace Technology or any other science that may be applied in support of the U . S . Space Program and human space exploration .
BREVARD INDO-AMERICAN MEDICAL AND DENTAL ASSOCIATION ( BIMDA )
BIMDA donated $ 25,000 to start a scholarship endowment in honor of Brevard ’ s pioneering Dentists , Dr . Subhash G . Rege and Dr . N . Rao Kopuri . The scholarship is for students in Dental studies .
COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR BREVARD
The Foundation and Nursing Program were awarded a grant for $ 6,000 for Virtual Reality Resources for Health Science students . The funding will provide headsets to expose students to virtual reality ( VR ) in the context of health and wellness . This will complement classroom learning and create an exciting active learning environment for student .
