Sue graduated from high school and headed off to an out-of-state college , realizing early on that it wasn ’ t a good fit for her .
“ With some guidance from my family , I decided to enroll at then BCC . It was the best decision for me , and I never looked back ,” said Sue .
She decided that health care was her career goal and graduated from the radiography program . She was also in a pilot program for a radiation technician degree . For 40 years she was a practicing X-ray technician .
“ I loved the fact that I learned the skills needed to create a

career in health sciences and make good money doing something I really liked ,” she said .
Several members of their family came and went through EFSC over the decades and they recently got together to visit the college . They were astonished at its growth and the positive changes that have been made .
Sue was overwhelmed with the Health Sciences Institute , the incredible facilities and modern equipment . As they left , Hal commented , “ I can ’ t wait to do my council report and let everyone know what an asset we have in our own backyard !”
