STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

PLANS ARE IN FULL SWING for the annual EFSC Foundation Scholarship Tournament at Rockledge Country Club on October 29 , 2021 . This year ’ s tournament will feature tee parties contest and prizes .
“ What discriminates this tournament from the many others around Brevard , is the participation of the EFSC women ’ s and men ’ s golf team ,” said Dave Lightholder , a member of the EFSC Board of Directors and this year ’ s tournament co-chair . “ Coach Howell does a great job with both these teams , and it is terrific to meet these student athletes on the course .”
Dave and Ryan Wilkins are chairing this year ’ s event . Both feel that the funds raised are important for the College to match the First Generation Matching Grant and Florida Blue Funds for Scholarships .
“ We have several returning teams and
Moses Harvin II , Board Chair , playing golf for scholarships
sponsors , and we are always looking for additional community and company support for this event ,” said Wilkins . It is important we raise funds for these scholarships and our students .
The tournament is a scrambles format that will start at
8:30 a . m . Each team that is registered can arrive early for some breakfast , a bloody mary bar and participate in the putting contest . This year our presenting sponsor is Community Credit Union of Brevard . We also will feature a pink tee party sponsored by Health First in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month . Teams from Cisco , Presidio , 8-KOI , MH Williams , Boys Electrical and Beacon Cleaning are already registered to name a few .
