EFSC’ s New Strategic Plan Lays Foundation for the Future

Here are a few samples of some of the great accomplishments from the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.
• Career and Technical Education enrollment grew 12 %
• Transfer rates of associate graduates increased by 8 %
• Success rates of students in gateway English courses increased by 3.5 %
• Students who completed industry certifications grew from 395 to 832
• Withdraw rates lowered from 7.4 % to 4.8 %
Though much success was achieved, the college embarked on a comprehensive strategic planning process to ensure widespread participation and the collection of valuable insights from a broad group of key stakeholders to fashion its new five-year plan.
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Research conducted research that included multiple in-person information sessions designed to capture feedback on what EFSC does well and the opportunities that exist to positively impact students and the community at large.
With the support of the Economic Development Commission of Florida’ s Space Coast, a survey was administered to gather responses from a wider range of stakeholders, including the local business community, and all students, staff, and faculty.
