HURRICANE IAN AND NICOLE RESPONSE
The college closed its campuses and canceled all classes and events for three days for both Hurricanes Ian and Nicole as they hit Florida and Brevard County .
• Facilities and Security personal worked aroundthe-clock to secure campuses and buildings as the hurricanes approached and conducted poststorm inspections .
• Emergency notifications were sent to all students and employees well in advance of the storms , giving them ample time to prepare and stay safe .
• The college sustained very minor damage from the hurricanes in the form of few downed trees and minor water intrusion in some buildings .
• The college smoothly reopened four days after the storms passed .
