PATRONS FLOCKED TO KING CENTER

The King Center for the Performing Arts continued its modernization with major rebranding efforts , strong patronage and more nationally known performers .
• More than 88,000 people attended performances with $ 4.2 million in ticket sales .
• A rebranding campaign was launched with a new logo , KingCenter . com website and email platform to help promote events .
• The King Center received the “ Best Live Theatre ” award from the Florida Today Community Choice “ Best of the Best ” Awards , the second year in a row it has won .
• Bigger names and highly successful shows included ZZ Top , Dwight Yoakam , George Thorogood & The Destroyers , Il Divo , Leanne Morgan , Chris Daughtry , L . A . Guns and Faster Pussycat on the Sonic Slam 2022 Tour .
• With the success of the Sonic Slam , the King Center continued to broaden the scope of programming coming to the venue to attract younger patrons .
• Highly recognizable comedy acts performed such as John Crist , Tom Segura , Kevin James , Jim Gaffigan , and Nate Bargatze .
• National Touring Broadway productions also returned to with hits such as RENT , Buddy : The Buddy Holly Story , Waitress , On Your Feet - The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan and Fiddler on the Roof .
• The Brevard Symphony Orchestra remained a steadfast partner and two ballet companies provided multiple shows throughout the year including The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty .
• The Classic Albums Live series was highly popular with Dire Straits : Brothers in Arms , U2 : The Joshua Tree and Billy Joel : The Stranger .
• There was also The Lithium Experience that featured a medley of 1990s Alternative & Grunge rock music from Nirvana , Pearl Jam , Alice in Chains , Soundgarden and more .
