Spring Term Records
Spring Term enrollment for Bachelor Degrees and online
learning set new records again in 2019, continuing the
trend of strong growth in these two marquee areas
of study. (Student Enrollment, Diversity Initiatives,
Financial Management, Trustee Relations, Employee
Relations)
• Nearly 2,200 students enrolled in Bachelor Degree courses,
a 14.9 percent increase over 2018.
• All four areas of Bachelor Degree study – Organizational
Management, Computer Technology, Health Sciences and
Registered Nursing – saw sustained increases.
• The success rate of EFSC students taking online courses
- those completing with an A, B, or C - has increased
every year and is up 8 percent since 2013, a testament
to the quality of EFSC online learning.
• 11 Bachelor Degree tracks were available completely
online in Spring 2019 in Business, Health Care and
Computer Technology.
• An Associate in Arts Degree, four Associate in Science
Degrees and 18 College Certificates were also available
completely online.
Student Union Dedication
An exciting new chapter in student life got underway
at EFSC with the dedication of a new Student Union on
the Melbourne campus. (Student Enrollment, Diversity
Initiatives, Trustee Relations, Community Awareness)
• In all, more than 3,900 students enrolled in at least one
Bachelor course during the four year period from 2015-19.
• The Spring Term also saw growth in one-year Certificate
Programs, reflecting the importance of those courses in
providing students good careers after graduation.
• A record 253 courses were offered online with 7,295
students enrolled, a 5 percent increase over Spring 2018.
• There were 1,443 students enrolled in online Bachelor
Degree courses, a 12.4 percent increase over Spring 2018.
• College officials, community leaders and students gathered
for the event that marked another major step in the
college’s expansion of its Melbourne campus.
• The building serves as the front door to the campus, giving
students a place to gather, relax, study and participate in
Eastern Florida’s collegiate experience.
